The BE Experience

5/06/2025

Hello everyone today I wanted to outline what it is I mean by an elevated project experience. My goal is to be a unique engineering design firm, too often in the planning and design phase not enough time is given to studying the project holistically and really consider the architectural intent, cost options, and the actual constructibility when the engineering plans are first being put together.

Through our extensive experience we are committed to providing further feedback up front offering cost-saving options or potentially slight tweaks to the plans that could save time, money, and contractor their frustration in the field.

Architects have their hands full with countless other items including the owner’s desires, zoning restrictions, and drafting of the floor plans for all of this, all while considering usability / programming. Then they immediately turn attention to finishes, fixtures, and other unique items.

Buchner engineering is committed to simply and concisely offering feedback and small tweaks that may have been overlooked, to lead to a design that maintains the architectural intent while avoiding unneeded engineering gymnastics that will be difficult, and costly, to build in the field.

Once the project is in construction, contractors need answers, and prompt communication, to keep the project on schedule and on budget. We at Buchner engineering understand the critical pace of projects on the East End. We are in early in the morning to get contractors answers to start their day, and understand when high priority items need our attention in the field promptly.
